Here is my own version of an extension of the Lumpy Gravy series.
Lumpy Gravy was the first in a series of records by FZ that continued as follows:
Part 2, as referenced in its gatefold was "We're Only in It for the Money"
Part 3 was the posthumous release "Civilization Phaze 3"

and now here is my take on the series.
It follows, to some extent, the layout of the first Lumpy Gravy release, with some alternate versions of the main melodies heard there, and more expanded spoken source material some from rare chatter of band members made available on releases such as "Mystery Disk," "Ahead of their Time" and others. Some is sourced from regular released albums, but its altered, edited or otherwise disguised. See how many bits you recognize from somewhere.

I did so much editing on it that I barely even remember myself where many of the snippets came from.

Also included in this piece are bits of cover versions of the main two musical themes "Duodenum" and "Oh No"
The covers are from Dweezil w Napoleon M-B, The Fraternity of Man, The Persuasions, and a few You-Tube artists. There are also mutated versions of odd Zappa band material that is only vaguely recognizable. Part 1 ends with the original Mothers live, doing Oh No, into Orange County Lumber Truck, with an extended early Zappa solo.

Anyway, I would appreciate your feedback, Personally, I adore much of the "music concrète" bits on all the Zappa albums, and have taken quite an interest in the creating more like them. In working this over and over and perfecting each edit to my liking, I find this piece a fascinating and enjoyable listen, even after listening repeatedly to it as I have created it for the last several weeks.

I feel that this piece represents a combination of my own taste in this type of edited sound creation, along with a strong adherance to the style and premise of Zappa's own works.

The bottom line is that I REALLY like this piece of art that I have created, and am very proud of it.

I credit all the material here to commercially available Zappa albums, and other artists cover versions. I did not overdub anything myself, but have combined and mutated existing samples. I do not wish to make any money off this project, I just wish to spread the love of Zappa's music and editing tradition to anyone who would appreciate it.

I wish could list it for free, but this site does not allow a price lower than $1.
Also, I intend to create PART 2 of the album and add it here as soon as its complete.

UPDATE: 6-27-2023 Part 2 is now complete and posted as part of this album. Its contains more of the same type or source material from all and any Zappa albums, studio and live, and also a particular bit that Steve Vai posted on YouTube, but I mixed and altered it to create a fuller arrangement of the bit he performed, which I believe was his early version of what became one of Zappa's "Sinister Footwear" pieces. Anyway, enjoy and I would love your feedback positive or negative.
